Unique pieces and sculptures

Stone shaping and unique pieces made to order: from a small pendant to a sculpture.

Every piece is handmade and one of a kind. I prefer to choose stone close to home: stone from the Kolpa and Kočevje stone, shaped in the mysterious Kočevje forest and carrying a special energy within it. For larger pieces, I also choose material from Kras.

Do you have a special piece of stone at home that reminds you of a special occasion? I can give it a new shape and purpose. One stone brought home as a memento of a trip for two became a tray for treasures from the garden.

How a bespoke piece is made

1 Write to me or give me a call and tell me what you have in mind: a gift, a garden ornament, a sculpture or a new shape for your stone.
2 Together, we choose the stone and the design.
3 I make the piece by hand in my workshop and deliver it to you.

Sculptures

Female figures and torsos where soft forms meet the raw surface of stone. Afrodita visited the source of the Krupa in Bela krajina, where strength, energy and peace come together beneath a mighty rock.

Stone animals

Bears, fish, horses, birds and frogs. My stylised Kočevje bears earned the title Naj spominek Kočevske, while imposing, lifelike bears also take shape in the studio. A stone fish needs only a place on a shelf, not an aquarium.

For the home and garden

A marble house candle holder on an old oak base, trays, mortars and stone eggs. For the garden, there’s a water dish for birds and bees: its rough edge keeps bees from slipping as they drink, while birds can enjoy a bath.

Bespoke gifts

Unique stone pendants made from stone from the Kolpa or the Kočevje forest, like the Celtic knot in the photograph. And gifts with a touch of humour too: what do you give a car mechanic? A stone nut, of course.
